We are thrilled to invite you to another installment of Volunteer TREKS: Training, Resources, Education, Knowledge, and Stories! This opportunity is for volunteers and their guests to develop their knowledge on various topics related to the natural and cultural resources found within Orange County while earning volunteer hours.
Please join us Wednesday, March 20th from 6 to 8 p.m. at Irvine Regional Park’s Soda Fountain Pavilion (located next to the OC Zoo) for an exciting lecture and Q&A with OC Parks Paleontology Curator Dr. Will Gelnaw. This talk will cover the major geological formations that are found in Orange County, how they relate to major geological events, and the fossils of the plants and animals that called these changing environments home. Please join us to learn more about Orange County’s rich fossil record spanning from the Jurassic to the Ice Ages and the fascinating natural history that they illuminate!
Registration is required to participate, as there are limited spaces available. Volunteers are also welcome to invite up to two additional guests to join. Light refreshments will be served and parking is free for all registrants.
Registration is closed for this activity.
