Ready for a challenging hike to tour the Crystal Cove State Park backcountry? Join a Crystal Cove State Park docent as we go from the “gills to the hills” on this strenuous but very scenic loop hike known as the “Perimeter of the Park.” Distance is around 9 miles; elevation/gain loss, around 1500’. The hike is done at a moderate pace with two to three short breaks.
Be sure to bring plenty of water and a snack. Wear sturdy shoes as trails can be rocky and uneven in some areas.
Meet at the Ranger Station (PCH inland at the stoplight School-State Park, follow the signs towards the Ranger Station). $15 day-use fee
Come for the event, stay and play for the day!
Pre-registration is not necessary for this event. Please arrive 15 minutes early allowing time to secure parking, as hike begins promptly at 7:00 AM.
