Counted all the birds from the Spur gate to the first point (traveling count).
– Do stationary 5-minute counts at each of the point count locations (stationary count).
– Put in only the additional birds that you see on the way between point count locations (incidental count).
– Count all the birds from the last point count location (#33) back to the Spur Gate (traveling count).
Between point count locations count as incidentals.
Adhere to inclement weather (including rain, trail conditions, and Red Flag Warning) policies.
IRC will contact you if your patrol is cancelled for Fire Watch weather.
IRC volunteers must be in IRC uniform (with proper landowner identification/patch), including your badge(s).
Before leaving your home to report for the activity, fill your water bottle, bring everything you need to be healthy, and conduct a self-assessment.
