OC Parks invites you to kick off the holiday season at Carbon Canyon Regional Park with Reindeer in the Redwoods, a holiday event in Orange County’s only Redwood Grove! Complete the half-mile walk to the Redwood Grove and be rewarded with a Winter Wonderland, complete with Santa and live reindeer! There will also be holiday gnomes hidden along the way, so be sure to keep an eye out.

This free, family event will include holiday crafts, face painters and cookie decorating. You will even be serenaded by a quartet of carolers!

Gather your family and friends, pick out your holiday outfits and get your cameras ready for a unique, one-of-a-kind photo opportunity!

Please be advised that the closest parking lot to the Redwood Grove is approximately a half mile away. Wear comfortable shoes.

Dogs and horses are not allowed at the event site due to the presence of reindeer and other live animals. However, dogs on leashes no longer than six feet are welcome at Carbon Canyon Regional Park during normal operating hours.

• Event is free to attend. Registration is required.
• One registration is good for one vehicle entry. For example, a group of four arriving to the park in one vehicle will only need to register once. When registering, be sure to input your name as it appears on your Driver’s License/Photo ID.
• Attendees will need to park in the designated event parking area. Please note that there is no offsite parking available near Carbon Canyon Regional Park. Brea Police Department has been notified and will be doing additional traffic control and enforcement on the day of the event. Vehicles parked illegally are subject to being ticketed or towed.
• The Reindeer in the Redwoods event will take place at the Redwood Grove at Carbon Canyon Regional Park. The terrain at the Redwood Grove is mulch, which has been compacted but can be very thick and uneven in places. Reasonable accommodations for accessibility will be made upon request. Requests can be made after registering for the event.
