OC Parks Volunteers

IMG_9363Thank you for your interest in volunteering with OC Parks.

Volunteers:

OC Parks provides a variety of volunteer services across a very diverse system of regional parks, wilderness parks, historical parks, trails, beaches and open space.

Becoming an OC Parks Volunteer requires a long term commitment and dedication to serving the land and community. All OC Parks volunteers will be required to attend a series of trainings, pass a background check, and commit a minimum of 36 volunteer hours per year. Training includes: Program Orientation/Public Interaction Workshop, First Aid/CPR Training and site Facility Training.

We have a variety of volunteer opportunities to suit anyone’s interest, including Historic Docent, Backcounty Patrol, OC Zoo opportunities, and more.

Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age or 16 with parent permission.

Interns:

OC Parks offers internships in a variety of different areas including historical collections, natural resources, planning and design, and the OC Zoo. Local Colleges and Universities partner with OC Parks to provide these opportunities to students. Both credit and non-credit placements are available.

By completing an interest form we will try to match you with available internship opportunities. Please note that not all internship opportunities are always available and some positions may be full at the time of application.
