Butterfly Migration Mania

Interpretive

Seemingly out of nowhere, millions of migratory butterflies have descended on South Orange County, but it turns out that our winter rains and the subsequent wildflower bloom created the ideal conditions for this rare phenomenon. Join us at Upper Newport Bay Nature Preserve to view these migrating butterflies, learn all about why they are here and what you can do to help these essential pollinators thrive in our area.

Participants can expect to walk 1-2 miles over uneven terrain.

Minors aged 16 and younger must have legal guardian present at all times.
Registration suggested.
