Back to Basics Winter Workshops: Outdoor Safety and Survival

Interpretive

On a regular basis OC Park Rangers have to perform remote rescues to assist users who become lost, stranded, or injured. This workshop will cover the basics of how to avoid these situations and what to do if you find yourself in one. Topics will include preparation, equipment, orienteering, plant and animal safety, and basic wilderness survival skills.

All ages are welcome, but this lecture style program will be geared toward adult learners.

Minors aged 16 and younger must have a legal guardian present at all times.
Walk-ins are welcome, however seating is limited, so registration is suggested.
