A Volunteer's Voice: Living History Comes to Life

The past is brought to life through our volunteers’ voices. Today’s speakers are Orange County natives Mike and Shelley Reetz, now of Gettysburg, Penn. discuss their experiences as living history reeanctors who share their love of the past with others through education. Hear how they began their journey, the places they volunteer today, and how they share historical tales to park visitors through dynamic interpretation.

After the presentation, explore Heritage Hill Historical Park’s fully restored historic buildings that reflect El Toro’s past. Mike and Shelley, along with volunteer members of Amigos de la Colina, will stroll through the park to answer questions about their experiences.
