International Migratory Bird Day

Interpretive

International Migratory Bird Day focuses attention on one of the most important and spectacular events in the life of a migratory bird — its journey between its summer and winter homes. Today, it is celebrated in Canada, the U.S., Mexico and Central America through bird festivals and bird walks, education programs, and Bird Day!

At Upper Newport Bay we will recognize this international event with a free festival featuring displays and exhibits from partner organizations including The Environmental Nature Center, Sea and Sage Audubon, Starr Ranch Audubon, The Bolsa Chica Conservancy, Optics 4 Birding, and OC Animal Care. There will also be a special appearance by Anaheim Ducks mascot Wild Wing, crafts, games, storytelling, live falconry demonstrations, face painting, bird walks, and much more.

Minors aged 16 and younger must have a legal guardian present at all times. Rain will cancel the event.
