Newport Bay Conservancy and OC Parks present an entertaining and educational afternoon for the entire family. Join staff from Wolf Haven International to take a close look at the differences and similarities between wolf, coyote and dog biology, behavior, social structure, historical and current ranges, and ecosystem roles. How do our domesticated dogs compare and contrast with these wild canids? We will discuss both wild and urban coyote challenges, and of course wild wolves in Lassen County in California! The mission of the program is to embrace biodiversity and facilitate peaceful coexistence of all species.
The program features awesome video clips of wolves at Wolf Haven International, as well as wild wolves and coyotes. Portions of the program include skulls, antlers and tracks. Proceeds from the event benefit both Wolf Haven International and Newport Bay.
Minors aged 16 and younger must have a legal guardian present at all times.
