Art at the Historic Yorba Cemetery

Gather your sketchbook and paints for a morning of Art at the Historic Yorba Cemetery. Join our professional artist who guides you through the practices of plein air painting after an introductory tour of OC Parks’ Yorba Cemetery.

The Yorba Cemetery is one of the oldest cemeteries in Orange County. Residents of the Santa Ana Canyon, many of them descendants of pioneering rancho-era families, were buried here from 1860 until the cemetery’s closure in 1939.

Upon registration, a recommended list of materials is available for you to bring to this free program. No materials are provided, only history and art instructions. A tour of the cemetery and the history of its inhabitants are provided.

Painting at the Yorba Cemetery welcomes all of those who are interested and love the arts and history, from beginners to advanced artists.

Inclement weather may cancel this event.
