Caspers Scenic Fitness Hike

Hiking & Fitness

Join us on a hiking adventure in scenic Caspers Wilderness Park! Whether you are training for Mt. Whitney or just enjoy vigorous outdoor exercise, this hike is for you. This challenging 12-mile loop will traverse East Ridge trail, connect you with Cougar Pass, then to up Oso trail where you’ll receive breathtaking views of the park and National Forest. Continuing down to San Juan Creek trail, wrapping up on Juaneno trail and Pump House Rd.

We will stage at the Live Oak restroom and begin at 7:15am sharp. Elevation gain is about 1,950 ft and the pace will be steady to finish in about six hours.

Please bring a hat, plenty of water, snacks, sunscreen, and suitable footwear to cover long distances and possible stream crossings. This is snake season, so gator covers are a good idea.

*The route may be modified to accommodate unexpected conditions
*Parking fee $3 M-F, $5 Sat-Sun
*Domestic Animals are prohibited
