Come celebrate Helena Modjeska’s birthday at her historic home of Arden!
Modjeska was one of the America’s most famous Shakespearean actresses of the late 19th century. Her home, designed in 1888 by renowned New York architect Stanford White, is one of two National Historic Landmarks in Orange County.
Enjoy performances by Polish folk dance group Krakusy and live classical music by students of the Chopin Academy. You can also tour the house and explore the grounds as OC Parks’ volunteer docents will be available to share stories and answer questions about the property and Helena Modjeska.
