CANCELLED: Lunar Eclipse Viewing Party

Interpretive

* This program has been canceled due to projected significant cloud cover.*

Join us at the Caspers Wilderness Park Nature Center to view the total lunar eclipse happening here in southern California! A total lunar eclipse happens when the Earth passes directly between the Sun and Moon, completely blocking the face of the Moon. The result is a spectacular red colored moon.

Bring lawn chairs, blankets, and anything else you might need to enjoy the show. Dressing in layers is recommended as it does get chilly when the sun goes down!

Knowledgeable volunteers will be on hand with telescopes will be available for viewing the eclipse and more!

Space is limited and advance registration is required.

Parking will be in the San Juan Meadow group area and guests will need to walk up the hill to the viewing area at the Nature Center, but ADA parking will be available for those who need it.

The program is free and parking is $3 per vehicle.

Rain or significant cloud cover will cancel the program.
