Cancelled by school due to rain.
Students from all over Orange County visit Clark Regional Park to learn about the natural and cultural history of this area. This 3rd grade trip includes a tour and scavenger hunt in the Interpretive Center where students learn about ancient habitats, visit the fossil bed across the street where students become paleontologists and search for real fossils, and participate in related activities.
Volunteers are needed to help support the park staff leading the program. Duties may include helping get students organized when they get off the buses, assisting with craft activities, acting as sweeps and helping students cross Rosecrans to reach the fossil bed safely, and answering questions from parents and teachers.
The program is anticipated to take place from 9:00am to 11:00am, depending on bus arrival time. Please arrive at 8:30am for activity assignments and set up, and be prepared to stay until 11:30am.
Volunteers must have completed Clark Regional Park Interpretive Docent training or prior approval to sign up for this opportunity.
