O’Neill Regional Park – Why Leaves Fall

Interpretive

Join an OC Parks Volunteer Naturalist at O’Neill Regional Park to discover why leaves fall and explore other fascinating woodland facts. This program is specifically tailored for children with disabilities, offering them the opportunity to connect with nature, but everyone is welcome to join! Activities are designed for the whole family to participate and enjoy. Enjoy a leisurely walk along a level trail through the shaded Oak Grove Day-Use area while taking part in a fun nature scavenger hunt. We’ll take a short walk on the Arroyo Trabuco Trail before returning to the amphitheater. The total walking distance is less than one mile. At the amphitheater, children will engage in a themed craft that provides a sensory experience for each participant. Parents are required to accompany their children and offer assistance as needed. Volunteers will be available throughout the program to answer any questions or concerns.
